5th March: FORTEAN ZOOLOGY: This is NOT a joke, I promise, but last night something left a trail of strange footprints in the snow, across a garden of one of the houses on the outskirts of the village. They are somewhat reminiscent of those reported from February 1855 when something left a trail of footprints across much of South Devon. On that occasion it was claimed that The Devil had visited Devonshire. We are not claiming anything of the sort! (And we don't think Satan had anything to do with the 1855 incidents either). This story is going to run over the next few days, so watch this space.
